We are currently seeking bench candidates for the position of Assistant General Managers to lead our exceptional staff at Holiday Inn East Windsor.

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in all aspects of hotel operations. You assist the General Manager with their responsibilities and everyday tasks. Assist in overseeing and supervising the operations of all departments, including Food and Beverage (F&B), and has knowledge of those responsibilities; also assisting in these departments as needed. The Assistant General Manager and the General Manager work closely with the hotel and Corporate staff to achieve desired revenue, exceed guest satisfaction, and maintain a high level of service. As the Assistant General Manager, you should have a strong knowledge of the brand you represent, the hotel, and the management company, Hotels Unlimited.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

  • To oversee hiring, training, scheduling, employee issues, and termination including developmental and motivation of personnel skills.
  • To exemplify Hotel policies and procedures.
  • To remain competitive in every area and to produce and achieve budgetary goals.
  • To maintain a high employee morale.
Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of recent experience as an Assistant General Manager or General Manager within a full-service property with a proven track record for achieving excellent customer service.
  • Must possess operational knowledge of all phases of the hotel industry as well as understand budgeting and accounting.
  • A well organized, highly motivated individual with a take charge attitude and excellent communication skills and great attention to detail is vital to this position.
  • Must set an example for all employees at all times relating to guest service and professionalism.
  • Excellent communicator, well organized, and detail oriented.
  • Flexible hours required.
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge in Windows, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as follow given instructions.
