Accounting Clerk (Part-Time)

We are an industry leader taking pride in our high quality performance for Corporate and Residential Moving, Installation, Storage and Relocation for over 100 years

 

·         We are seeking highly motivated “Self-starters” with the ability to assist management, internal/external customers and team members with various administrative accounting functions. The Part-Time Accounting Clerk is responsible for support of all aspects of accounting including maintaining and processing financial transactions, running reports for management, data entry, phones, filing and other ad hoc requests. The successful candidate should be highly detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task and follow through to goal completion and meticulous in managing detailed processes for all aspects of the job.

We offer a competitive compensation of $20-$28 per hour based on experience. 16-24 hours per week. We offer up to (5) PTO days per year.

 

Requirements:

·         1+ years relevant experience

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with high proficiency in Excel

·         Must have extremely strong mathematical abilities

·         Must have outstanding written and oral communication skills

·         Tenacious, outgoing and self-motivated

·         Very thorough and attentive to detail

·         Demonstrate outstanding organizational, communication and problem-solving skills

·         Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices

·         Thorough knowledge in accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

·         Confident and able to seek answers and ask for information/follows through on all initiatives

Responsibilities:

·         Using financial databases, spreadsheets and software

·         Posting financial transactions using appropriate computer software

·         Receiving and recording vouchers, cash and checks

·         Process A/P transactions, prepare cash requirements reports and payments

·         Process A/R transactions, rating, billing, create invoices and send out to clients

·         Entering debits and credits into software applications and databases accurately

·         Producing a variety of reports including income statements and balance sheets

·         Take initiative to improve team communication, process and procedures for the accounting team

·         Compile and monitor correspondence, memos and prioritize critical information

·         Maintain and improve quality results by following standards and process
