CNC Lathe Operator

Department:

CNC Lathe

Position Summary:

The candidate will be responsible for operating the CNC Lathe, and monitor quality of parts produced.

Daily tasks:

Run two CNC lathes to produce aerospace fasteners meeting quality and production targets. Check bolts using precision measuring tools and gages. Record daily production into SPC and shop floor control systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Do first Article Inspection
  • Lifting up to 40 lbs. and moving 40 lbs. pans with dollies.
  • Standing for extended periods of time, bending, stooping, reaching, and grasping to operate CNC lathes.

Director of Manufacturing and Plant Manager

The employee is frequently required to repeat the same motion by using their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls and use their foot to press a foot peddle. Strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate for long periods of time. Hearing level within normal/average range.

Working Conditions: First shift position. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or slippery conditions; high, precarious places; fumes and chemical; extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is required to work with cutting fluids (such as oils and coolants).

 

Position type:

Requires full work time only. 8 hours a shift- Monday to Friday - overtime expected depending on production needs. Regular attendance is an essential job function.
