Job Description

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to clients via remote control, phone, and onsite service calls in offices and some residential locations in the Kansas City metro area.  This individual has 2-5 years of experience and knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, basic networking, wireless, VoIP, LAN/WANs, and security camera systems.  He or she demonstrates excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of end users.  Daily service tickets, technical documentation, and vendor cooperation is key to this position.  The technician will work directly with customers and vendors during installation, training, and support of systems.

·          Remote and onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting, and resolution of client IT issues

·          Installation and configuration of client IT equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, networking equipment, and software

·          Basic daily administration of client PC’s, software, networking equipment

·          Provide on-call emergency service as required and maintain communication with the customers and co-workers.

 

Job Requirements

Technical Skills

·          Hardware – PC, Laptop, Accessories, Printers, VoIP Phones, Wireless Access Points, IP Cameras

·          Operating Systems – Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016-2022, iOS, Android

·          Networking - TCP/IP, DNS, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless, VoIP, WAN (Cable, Fiber, Cellular)

·          Software – Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, Trend Micro Antivirus, and various industry/client-specific applications

·          Installation, termination, testing, and labeling of Cat6 network cabling systems.

·          Ability to assist with physical install of IT, security camera, and audio/video equipment

·          Experience with the following brands are a plus:

  • Dell, HP printers, Sonicwall, Ubiquiti, Polycom
  • Hikvision, Exacqvision, Honeywell cameras, DSC alarms, Brivo card access
  • Autotask, Datto, Acronis, 8x8
