Job description
We are seeking passionate, creative, and happy teachers who are seeking to make early childhood education a career. At Maple Tree Academy we are dedicated to shaping and contributing to the lives of infants, toddlers and preschoolers through thoughtful provocations and meaningful interactions. By following the principles of RIE and Reggio Emilia, you can enrich the lives and development of children by providing a substantial foundation for the rest of their educational experiences. Teachers work collaboratively with Lead Teachers to carry out daily caregiving tasks and other educationally enriched experiences. Using the Reggio approach with emergent curriculum, teachers will foster learning by applying developmentally appropriate skills into learning opportunities.
Experience
- Must have at minimum 12 units of ECE coursework. (A B.A. or CDA is not required)
- Previous experience in a classroom/center setting
-Experience with Reggio and/or RIE approaches is preferred
-CPR certification is desired
Skills
Seeking applicants who are creative, caring, and enthusiastic. People who desire to make a difference in children’s lives by providing them with opportunities for curiosity and creating a nurturing environment. Must be able and willing to learn about the Reggio approach and work with implementing an emergent curriculum. Must be willing to implement the principles of RIE and apply them to their caregiving of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
