Job Summary

The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our laser printer remanufacturing facility, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and safety. This role involves managing staff, optimizing processes, maintaining quality control, and ensuring that production goals are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Supervision:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Warehouse Associated and technicians
    • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure clear communication of goals, updates, and feedback.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee the entire remanufacturing process, from disassembly to reassembly and testing of laser printers.
    • Develop and implement efficient operational procedures and best practices.
    • Ensure that production schedules are met and adjust workflows as needed to meet demand.
    • Ensure the facility is well stocked and all needed equipment and supplies arealways available
  • Quality Control:
    • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all products meet company standards and customer expectations.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
    • Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies to ensure continuous production.
    • Work with suppliers to source high-quality materials at competitive prices.
    • Implement effective inventory tracking systems to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct regular safety training and audits to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Address and resolve any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
    • Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Customer Focus:
    • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to understand customer needs and ensure timely delivery of products.
    • Address any customer complaints or issues related to product quality or delivery.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
    • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Technology & Innovation:
    • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
    • Implement new technologies and processes to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field desirable, but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing or remanufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in using operations management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
