Overview:
Our client is looking for a seasoned BOM/EO Control Specialist to manage engineering change processes and BOM coordination. This role will be the primary liaison for customer engineering changes and will involve extensive SAP management for material and production planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for HMGMA Engineering Change Requests, including managing BOM details.
  • Develop and maintain material master data in SAP, including part creation, and managing key information such as MRP settings, work centers, routings, production versions, standard costs, and module numbers.
  • Ensure the accurate execution and upkeep of SAP production planning processes, including LTP, MRP, PIRs, backlog management, and adjustments to production results.
  • Oversee the accuracy and management of production BOMs within SAP/MES systems, ensuring all part and material details are up-to-date.
  • Monitor and document material usage to ensure accurate inventory and material closing processes on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Distribute the comprehensive PART LIST MASTER to all relevant departments.
  • Track the lifecycle of materials to manage items that are obsolete or have gains/losses.
  • Work with the IT department to enhance the SAP user experience.
  • Coordinate with all plant departments to implement engineering orders (EOs).
  • Manage changes in EO parts, including alerting relevant parties, recording initial sequences, and facilitating internal and external communications.
  • Participate in and contribute to EO meetings, both internally and externally, while keeping track of upcoming engineering point implementations (EPIs).
  • Maintain and update EO-related systems such as G-EPI and SAP.

Experience + Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in production control within the automotive industry, specifically Just-in-Sequence manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supervisory or leadership roles.
