Sole Hire LLC has been exclusively contracted by its client, a prominent manufacturing company, to spearhead the search for a skilled Plastics Engineer. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead in designing and developing materials and products utilizing plastics, contributing to innovative solutions in the industry.

Position: Plastics Engineer
Location: Ewing, NJ or Lawrenceville, NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time with Benefits
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Compensation: Negotiable based on knowledge, skills, and abilities

Interview/Hiring Process:

  1. Apply Online
  2. Respond to Preliminary Email Questions
  3. Phone Interview with Recruiter (15 - 30 Minutes)
  4. On-Site Interview with Client
  5. Final Interview on-site with Client

Role to be filled within 2-4 weeks

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design plastics and injection-mold fabrication processes.
  • Develop and enhance injection-mold machinery.
  • Research and innovate new manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze manufacturing data for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure quality output of molded components.
  • Interact with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Establish optimal molding parameters and components.
  • Conduct comprehensive quality control analysis.
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors for project success.
  • Perform moldflow analysis and stress/fatigue analysis on plastics.
  • Create 3D solid mold designs and mold-filling simulations.
  • Design hot/cold runner molds and water diagrams.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Certification: B.Sc. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, or related Engineering discipline.

Experience Required:

  • Hands-on experience in plastics manufacturing (extrusion, injection, compression, hot embossing).
  • Proficiency in polymer material properties, plastic molding, and heat transfer concepts.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and adherence to manufacturing best practices.
  • Knowledge of CAD software for modeling complex parts is preferred.
  • Self-directed with a proactive approach to opportunities.
