A leader in the manufacturing of high-quality windows and doors, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician Supervisor to oversee our maintenance team. The Maintenance Technician Supervisor will be responsible for managing the maintenance operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all production machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in industrial maintenance, and a commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintenance Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee maintenance activities, including preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
  • Scheduling: Develop and maintain maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Assist in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Provide technical support and expertise to the maintenance team.
  • Equipment Installation: Oversee the installation of new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper setup and compliance with safety standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to OSHA and company safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
  • Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely ordering of necessary components.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and parts usage.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the development and management of the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Emergency Response: Coordinate and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to production.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or technical/vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in windows and doors manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency with maintenance management software and diagnostic tools.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar are advantageous.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and work in various environmental conditions. Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
