Key Responsibilities Accounting
  • Accounts payable: inputting weekly bills
  • Accounts Receivable: invoicing and tracking open AR
  • Monthly revenue statement preparation and reconciliation
  • Month-end close: bank reconciliation, journal entries, preparation of supporting schedules
  • Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • T&E Reconciliation and studio billing 
  • Handle ad hoc requests and projects
  • Maintaining weekly project coding of new releases in the ERP system
Royalties
  • Review royalty terms of artist and third-party agreements and verify that the terms have been properly set up within the Royalties System
  • Responsible for all royalties processing which includes ensuring the accuracy of reporting and the prompt processing of monies both payable and receivable
  • Reconcile various third-party liability account balances on the Royalty Ledger to the General Ledger
  • Clear suspense and pending/unmatched items within the Royalties System
  • Prepare accurate and timely royalty statements that comply with contractual obligations and ensure that all costs, artist advances, and royalty calculations are valid
Requirements 
  • 2-5 years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
