Job Description:

This role will work under the general supervision of the Warehouse Manager assisting with warehouse operations including organizing, directing, leading, and coordinating the operations and activities of the warehouse. Activities of the warehouse include receiving inventory, movements of products within the facility, and the picking and loading of product shipping out of the facility; ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in managing the day-to-day performance and progress of the warehouse.
  • Helps manage and supervise all shipping, receiving, performed by warehouse employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees on warehouse floor throughout the shift.
  • Supports warehouse manager with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by warehouse employees.
  • Assists with inventory activities; supervises inventory control process including but not limited to stock cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
  • Resolves warehouse-related issues with other departments throughout the company.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, directing work, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • 1-2 years related experience or equivalent
  • Prior warehouse leadership experience required
  • Forklift certification (required after hiring)

Competencies:

  • Proficient with warehouse procedures, policies, inventory control practices, and logistics.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Aptitude to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Strong management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.

Physical Demand and Work Environment:

  • Required to frequently to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Requires the ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Requires continuous ability to talk or hear
  • Occasionally required to lift/carry items up to 50-70 pounds
