Our manufacturing client in the Newnan, GA area is seeking an Approvals and Regulatory Electrical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in electrical engineering with a strong focus on ensuring products meet UL standards, are safe from fire hazards and electrocution, and are designed with robust circuitry and wiring.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all products comply with UL codes and standards.
  • Conduct safety assessments to prevent fire hazards and risks of electrocution.
  • Design and layout circuitry, wiring, and components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical faults and implement solutions to improve product reliability.
  • Develop and review circuit layouts and component placements to optimize design efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs into final products.
  • Document electrical designs, test results, and safety evaluations accurately and comprehensively.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Electrical for creating and modifying electrical schematics and layouts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in electrical engineering.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during the manufacturing and installation processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on product safety and compliance.
  • Proficient in circuitry, wiring, fault testing, and electrical component layout.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of UL codes and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or product development environment.
  • Knowledge of other relevant codes and standards.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
  • Familiarity with other CAD software and electrical design tools.
