Job Title: Inventory Planner
Pay Rate: $30-31/hr
Work Hours: Hybrid schedule, specific days and hours to be determined. Training hours may differ.

Job Purpose and Summary:
The Inventory Planner is accountable for managing and shaping forecasts and inventory, as well as all supply components for a group of retail products to ensure Store and DC service levels. The Inventory Planner will execute business plans that achieve enterprise goals including sales, margin, in-stock, turn, fill rate, customer satisfaction, and GMROII.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain accurate forecasts across a set of products/categories, including promotional, seasonal, and event forecasts.
  2. Monitor forecast accuracy and resolve exceptions, working with Category and Planning leadership to understand trends and identify new products and promotional strategies.
  3. Collaborate with merchants, vendors, and other parts of the business to ensure key factors influencing demand are understood and reflected in the forecast.
  4. Manage inventory levels for a set of products/vendors/categories to support demand while meeting inventory turn and service level targets.
  5. Develop actionable plans to meet financial and inventory goals, generate and analyze inventory and service level performance reports.
  6. Partner with Finance, Logistics, and Transportation organizations to identify supply chain and financial opportunities.
  7. Represent project standards by attending and facilitating meetings to prioritize inventory requirements across the organization.
  8. Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and DC teams to enable on-time and in-full delivery of purchase orders.
  9. Review deal buying opportunities and make decisions on purchase quantities and timing based on targets defined by leadership.

Experience:
Essential Qualifications and Functions:

  • 3+ years of Retail industry experience in Merchandise planning.
  • 1+ Year Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams).
  • Strong business/financial acumen and Supply Chain knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • JDA/Blue Yonder Forecasting & Replenishment Knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or MBA.
  • Supply Chain certification such as RSSC, CSCMP, or APICS.
  • Previous Experience in an S&OP environment.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Project Management Professional certification preferred.
