In this position, you will purchase supplies, materials, and parts for the company. Maintains knowledge of trends, prices, buyers, and delivery conditions to anticipate future material availability; directs purchasing programs accordingly. As a newly created position, you will develop and maintain our inventory database for supplies and materials used as well as the purchasing process. This is a full-time position, M-F, 8am to 5pm. Pay range is starting salary commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of purchasing, including managing current warehouse inventory and development of purchasing plan.
  • Generate timely and accurate purchase orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and produce weekly reports.
  • Receive, track and stage warehouse inventory.
  • Work closely with sales and scheduling.
  • Prioritize communication with vendors regarding POs and inventory availability/forecasting.
  • Identify unexpected inventory changes and proactively provide recommendations to sales.
  • Propose solutions to streamline inventory management and backorder processes.
  • Locate and secure best pricing.
  • Manage/track RMA process.
  • Implement best practices for inventory control, accuracy and record-keeping to minimize errors.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of purchasing and/or inventory management
  • Quickbooks experience is a plus
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Highly organized, process oriented
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Physically able to unpack boxes and stage for install
  • Strong team mentality with ability to take initiative as needed
  • Must pass a state and federal criminal background check and drug screening.
