Exciting Opportunity for a Full-Time RN in San Diego with Rogers Behavioral Health

Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift clinic hours. No weekends or on-call duties

Salary Range: $34.01/hr (starting) to $44.16/hr (midpoint)

Retention Bonus: $2,500 with a 12 month commitment

Rogers Behavioral Health in San Diego is looking for a dedicated registered nurse to join our team In this role, you will perform professional nursing activities to help patients achieve and maintain maximum physical, emotional, and social function. You will collaborate with other health team members as necessary, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial Assessments: Conduct and document initial patient assessments, including medical, physical, and psychosocial evaluations.
  • Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients, explaining their rights, obtaining necessary consents, and ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and update patient care plans, participate in care conferences, and document treatment goals and progress.
  • Patient Care Implementation: Administer medications accurately, monitor patient responses, and provide ongoing patient education.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure unit safety, adhere to hospital policies, and participate in performance improvement programs.
  • Leadership: Coordinate unit activities, manage the therapeutic environment, and supervise and delegate tasks to LPN/psychiatric technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BSN preferred. Must be a licensed registered nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Certifications: CPR certification required within 30 days of hire, with bi-annual re-certification. Formal training in managing aggressive patients required within 60 days of hire, with annual re-certification.
  • Experience: Previous psychiatric experience with children, adolescents, and adults preferred.

Additional Duties:

  • Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing education and in-service programs to maintain clinical competence.
  • Committee Participation: Serve on unit-based committees and participate in projects to enhance unit standards of care.
