Job Summary

Leading global metals manufacturing and Distribution Company is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician at a key service center location in Ellwood City, PA. The position of maintenance technician requires that the position holder be multi-crafted in many areas of industrial maintenance including but not limited to the following skills set: electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC’s, and mechanical maintenance.

General Responsibilities

· Always work safely and follow safe work practices as identified by EDRO Specialty Steels, Inc. and/or government regulatory agencies (OSHA).

· Keep work areas, tool storage and spare parts areas clean and organized.

· Develop preventive maintenance procedures and checklists for all EDRO Specialty Steels, Inc. machinery and equipment including all saws, Blanchard grinders, CNC machines, cranes, lifting devices, compressor system, mobile equipment and all other equipment as necessary.

· Maintain all EDRO Specialty Steel Inc. machinery and equipment as directed by plant management and as recommended by Original Equipment Manufacturers.

· Schedule and coordinate subcontracted services such as crane inspections and repairs, mobile equipment repairs and services provided by OEM’s. Participate in all EDRO Specialty Steels. Inc. environmental, health and safety training programs.

· Assist plant management activities associated with environmental, health and safety compliance to local, state and federal laws and regulations.

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides

· Familiarity with Litz & Dah Lih CNC machinery

· Experience with Mitsubishi, Okuma & FANUC controls

· Demonstrated high degree of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical aptitude and repair abilities

· Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation

· Knowledge of and experience with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems

· Familiarity with Kasto & Friggi Saw Machinery

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Must pass the physical and occupational work assessment administered by our local health care provider (cost to be covered by EDRO Specialty Steels Inc.)

· Must pass a hair follicle drug and alcohol screen (cost to be covered by EDRO specialty Steels Inc.).

· Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

EDUCATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

· High School Diploma

· Skilled Trade Certification preferred

· Ability to comprehend given instructions

· Ability to work unsupervised

· Reading, writing and general math skills

· Ability to work effectively in a group (Team) environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
