Cougar Chemical is seeking a Parts and Service Advisor to join our team. The basic function of the Service Coordinator is to assist our Service Personnel so that the service work can be completed in an efficient and timely basis with the highest emphasis on service to customers both internal and external. Cougar Chemical is the Mid South's largest and most respected repair facility for cleaning equipment such as pressure washers and floor scrubbers. We make repairs at our shop and we have outside technicians that make repairs at our customer's location.

Essential Duties include:

  • Scheduling service work for inside/outside technicians while keeping status up-to-date.
  • Inside parts sales.
  • Maintain parts inventory, order parts for technicians and customers.
  • Maintain training logs and certifications.
  • Match receivers with repair & purchase orders to enter invoices.
  • File warranty claims by working with vendors.
  • Locate and order sometimes difficult-to-find parts and read equipment breakdowns.
  • Drive labor efficiencies and keep accurate records.
  • Maintain equipment database for all customer serviced and purchased equipment.
  • Accurately enter work orders and sales orders into the point-of-sale system.
  • Pick up or deliver parts & equipment.
  • All of our team members are asked to assist with occasional special projects in the areas of accounting, inventory, promotions, and marketing.
  • Communicate with customers to describe repairs, pricing, and status of repairs.

Required Skill and Knowledge:

  • Professional attitude and willingness to help.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to have a basic understanding of how a shop is run including scheduling, ordering, and customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Time management skills, flexibility, attention to detail and accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma required. Trade school or technical experience preferred.
  • Personality, Work Ethic, and Enthusiasm are valued more than experience, so we are willing to train the right candidate.

  • Additional Opportunities:

  • Cougar Chemical has a thriving internet business and all promotional activities are generated in-house. We create all of our content including website construction & maintenance, photography, videography, editing, blogging, and social. While not in the direct scope of this position, interested candidates will have the opportunity to learn and participate in promotional and marketing activities.
  • Cougar Chemical designs and builds mobile cleaning systems in-house. For candidates with mechanical ability or curiosity, there is an opportunity to participate in the construction process.
  • Cougar Chemical routinely trains auto detailers to use the most cutting-edge automotive reconditioning products and equipment. Our product research, development, and testing is done in-house. Interested candidates will have ample opportunity to learn about automotive detailing.
