Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Summary:
Uses CAM Works CAD/CAM software to interpret and detail customer supplied CAD models used in the development of CNC cutter paths / programs. Review of special mold base assemblies; alert customers to potential machining / functionality issues and communicate a proactive solution. Maintain CAD files and all relevant information related to individual customer order. Interact with VizQuote Estimating software to review customer notes / requests and ensure standards are met; closing of routing steps in VizQuote for automation and tracking purposes.

 

Principle Responsibilities:
Uses computer equipment and CAM Works software to analyze customer supplied CAD models.
Utilize knowledge of CNC machining applications, tooling, mold base components and assembly tolerances to create tool paths used for special mold base production.
Interaction with VizQuote Estimating software
Provides notes when required to notify the shop floor of any non-standard set-up(s), machining, or tolerances.
Ability to solve problems, offer solutions and clearly communicate these ideas with customers and management personnel.
Set up and maintain an organized file system to store production drawings and CAD models.

 

Skills Required:
Advanced computer and related software knowledge.
Must be able to read and interpret production drawings.
Understanding of company quality and safety standards.
Complete understanding of Mold Base assembly and components.
Proficient with Horizontal and Vertical CNC machining center applications.
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills.
Willingness to assist and support others.

 

Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
CNC Mill Training Certification.
CAM Works/Solidworks Experience Preferred

 

Work Experience:
Minimum five (5) years of experience in related field.
