Position Summary: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist with tracking attendance, calling students when absent, and talking to students about attendance issues. • Attend weekly attendance meetings with Director of Education, academic advisors, and department chairs. • Coordinate academic support and tutoring services for students as needed. • Advise students enrolled in the program on scheduling and graduation requirements. • Identify training needs (both in teaching skills and content knowledge) of department staff. Inform the Director of Education of department training needs and work with the DOE to ensure training is delivered. • Conduct department meetings at least quarterly. Submit meeting agenda and notes to the Director of Education. • Serve on accreditation committees as requested. • Serve on the school’s advisory board as well as program development advisory boards • Work with staff and faculty to ensure State, ACICS, and Corporate regulations are followed. • Maintain a quarterly teaching schedule of no more than 25 contact hours and/or 5 preps. • Coordinate additional (non-teaching) on-site hours with the Director of Education to best match the needs of students and staff. Revised 4/26/12 • Coordinate with the Director of Education to complete semi-annual faculty observations. • Coordinate with the Director of Education to complete annual performance reviews for each instructor in the department. • Coordinate with the Director of Education to address student complaints about programs, courses, and/or instructors within his or her department. • Work with the Director of Education to coordinate teacher coverage (including substitutes), textbook selection, and materials for your classes. • Other duties as assigned. • Regular and reliable attendance.
