We currently need hospice aides in the Arlington and Grand Prairie areas with a focus on dignity, respect, and personalized care.

Job Summary: Ameristars Best Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Hospice Aide with a CNA license to join our team. The Hospice Aide will provide essential support to patients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and dignity during the end-of-life process. This position is on an as-needed basis, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to hospice patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Assist with mobility and positioning of patients.
  • Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the supervising nurse.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to patient care.
  • Follow the individualized care plans as established by the interdisciplinary team.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of Ameristars Best Care.

Qualifications:

  • Current CNA license in the state of Texas.
  • Previous experience in hospice or home health care is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including potential evenings and weekends.
  • Comfortable using iPad or tablet to input notes in app based software (Consolo)
