We seek a highly motivated, collaborative Research Associate with broad work experience and training. The position is for a full-time employee, but we can discuss consistent part-time options with the right candidate. This is a remote position with project-related travel that will be required during the fall of 2024. A full-time position includes a matching IRA, health insurance (or reimbursements), paid vacation, and funding for professional development. We will start with a 6-month contract to ensure a strong fit.
Key Responsibilities. At first, the RA will primarily support two projects, but we have a range of ongoing and upcoming studies: 1) an evaluation of school food preparation 36 US school districts; and 2) an evaluation of professional training at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. The position will include supporting all areas of the research process:
- Study Development: Develop research instruments, consent forms, and fielding protocols.
- Recruiting: Support the recruitment of schools and food service staff through emails, grassroots efforts, and limited social media posts.
- Data Management: Support data tracking of participants interested in research projects.
- Research: This will include program observations, interviews, and school visits.
- Analysis: Support qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Highly organized and self-motivated, and comfortable with remote collaboration.
- Relevant work experience in research or education.
- A master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, psychology, social science) or a BA with relevant work experience.
- Ability to effectively engage and communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, from a research, recruiting, and outreach perspective.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity, problem solving skills, a sense of humor, and comfort working with a diverse team.
- Experience working with excel, google suite, and SPSS is a plus.
- Any language proficiency is a plus
