We are seeking experienced Journeyman Plumbers to join our team

Cox Plumbing Company was founded in 1998, by Stephen Cox who's family been serving Texas for 5+ generations. We are primarily a commercial new construction contractor that provides Plumbing, Utility and Excavation solutions for both Private and Public partners.

Pay: $30-$45/hour depending upon experience.

Schedule: 40-60 hours per week; Monday to Friday (Saturday/Sunday Optional/As-Needed); Paid weekly on Friday

Required Qualifications: Current Journeyman License (Fingerprints), Valid Driver's License, Background Check

Preferred Qualifications: OSHA-10/30; Heavy Equipment Operations (Mini-Excavator, Skid-Steer, Backhoe, Excavator, Loader, Blade, Dozer)

Experience: Desired experience with Restaurants, C-Stores, Industrial Facilities, and QSR commercial projects.

Other: Travel required ~25% of the time. Truck provided for crew leaders to travel from warehouse/yard to job. Travel time to and from job paid.

General Responsibilities:

  • Review blueprints and building codes to determine optimal work procedures
  • Install new plumbing systems on ground-up and tenant finish out projects
  • Understand the general phases of plumbing new construction: Rough-In, Grease Traps, Top-Out, Set-Out, Punch List, LP Gas
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner acceptable to ownership
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures outlined by customers and management

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in new construction plumbing
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Operate Heavy Machinery
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
