Cal Industrial Sales is a manufacturers’ rep company exclusively contracted with a dozen premier lines in the electrical and automation industry. We have an immediate opening for a; Industrial Electrical Sales Rep

Great opportunity to bring your sales skills and regional knowledge to grow the San Joaquin sales territory selling industrial-automation and electro-mechanical products into a wide variety of companies and industries.

The ideal candidate will be assertive, organized, goal orientated, and self-motivated. The Sales Representative position will require some overnight travel (approximately 3-4 nights annually) to various destinations within the United States for trainings and sales meetings with expenses covered.

 

Essential functions of the Sales Representative include, but are not limited to:

  • Prospect for new business opportunities for all the manufacturers represented
  • Nurture and grow where possible existing relationships
  • Make sales calls on customers and distributors routinely to maintain and grow relationships
  • Attend meetings, sales events, and training to keep abreast of the product
  • Facilitate communication between customer and manufacturer (engineering, customer service, accounting, etc.)
  • Field the complaints of customers and help work towards resolution

Prerequisites:

· Possess and demonstrate a high level of ethics, integrity, and honesty

· Field sales experience required

· Electrical and/or mechanical aptitude preferred

· Strong desire and sincere willingness to learn industrial-automation products...the learning will never stop

· A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Admin is preferred, though not required

· Possess excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills

· Must have reliable transportation (compensation will include monthly car allowance)

· Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable DMV record

· Current auto insurance which passes our insurance requirements and adds Cal Industrial Sales Inc. as additional insured

· Competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

· Capable of lifting 30 lbs.

· Strong skills managing B2B relationships

· Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and training

Compensation and Benefits of the Sales Representative include:

(Figures are intended as a guideline only).
Our new hire will benefit from a base monthly compensation of between $8K and $10K depending upon experience. After the initial learning curve, there will be a commission component that can be earned on top of this related to sales growth in the territory. In addition, our new teammate will receive a monthly automobile allowance of $600, a company-owned laptop, mobile phone service (Verizon),reimbursement for approved expenses, and an opportunity to participate in company sponsored medical insurance options. Optional Benefits also include optional 401K with 3% salary match for participants, vision coverage, dental coverage, life and accidental insurance.
