Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Project Administrator with a strong background in heavy civil construction to join our dynamic team in Clinton, CT. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting project management and ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and organize project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Budget Tracking: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
  • Quality Control: Support quality control efforts to ensure project specifications and standards are met.
  • Scheduling: Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or quality.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project administration, specifically in heavy civil construction projects.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
