**Position Overview**:  
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in Yakima, WA. This is a 13-week contract position with day shifts, offering 36 approved hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology and be committed to providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and organize the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other necessary items.
- Maintain aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Monitor and track surgical instruments, ensuring none are left inside the patient and all are accounted for post-surgery.
- Assist in positioning and draping patients, as well as preparing skin for surgery.
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis as needed.
- Work closely with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to ensure smooth operation flow.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient information.

**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Certified by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
