As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality standards are met. You will play a critical role in optimizing processes, managing resources, and implementing strategies to enhance overall performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing costs. Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth execution of production schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and develop inventory control strategies to minimize excess inventory and stockouts. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction throughout the manufacturing process. Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline operations and increase productivity.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to production teams, including supervisors, technicians, and operators. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement to maximize team performance and morale.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Develop and implement safety protocols and training programs to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead costs. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives to achieve financial targets and maximize profitability.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Generate regular reports and presentations for senior management to provide insights into operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment, with at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in project management tools and ERP systems.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
