Person needs to be a Jack of all trades-

**** LOGISTICS BACKGROUND A MUST*****

Most have intermediate knowledge of Excel
Some additional Information- OUTSIDE THE OFFICE SKILL SET

Shipping:

  • Shipping: Trailer Loads, LTL, UPS and FedEx.
  • Work with Warehouse production for quantities so labels could be issued
  • Shipping /tracking label– given to the shipping team
  • Call UPS/FedEx at least 24 hrs. in advance for pick-up with quantities
  • Prepare bills of lading for shipments
  • Enter each shipment in our shipping program
  • Run appropriate reports
  • Send spreadsheets to Sales to forward onto the clients
  • Keep schedule of future shipments and quantities; double check with the Sales Team in case of changes.

Person should have knowledge of logistics:
Freight classifications, class
Some International shipments- customs paperwork etc.
File Freight Claims
Set up trucks for Pick-Ups – providing Vendor PO#, pallet info, etc.
