Background

Are you passionate about promoting energy efficiency and making a positive impact in your community? We are seeking a dedicated Outreach Specialist to join our team in Southern Oregon. This role involves a balance between retail outreach (non-sales) support and administrative tasks. You will support retail locations, engage with energy efficiency programs, and perform administrative duties to help residents lower their energy bills.

Responsibilities:

Retail Support (50%)

· Conduct regular visits to participating locations with a single product category every four to six weeks.

· Maintain up-to-date records of location visits.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with management and sales floor staff.

· Place and manage point-of-purchase (POP) materials to enhance product visibility.

· Perform quality assurance checks to ensure accurate product pricing and stocking.

· Provide resources to sales staff, educating them on the key benefits of our program products.

· Conduct outreach to non-participating retail locations to identify barriers and opportunities for collaboration.

· Engage new locations and introduce new program product categories at existing locations.

· Recommend lead generation strategies and promotional tactics to drive customers to our retail partners.

· Collaborate with retailers to organize and host targeted events.

· Identify opportunities for crossover community outreach events to maximize impact.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Administrative Support (50%)

· Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.

· Process applications that assist residents in lowering their energy bills.

· Work closely with community partner organizations to support customers in reducing energy expenses.

· Manage and organize administrative tasks to ensure smooth operation of energy efficiency programs.

· Communicate effectively with team members and community partners to coordinate efforts.

· Process energy efficiency incentive applications for our community partners.

· Maintain and update multiple project tracking systems.

· Train and guide new partners on how our incentives work and streamline their paperwork submission process.

· Track all projects and respond to project status requests.

· Collaborate with team members to finalize incentive submissions.

· Access and update our customer relationship management database.

· Attend meetings with community partners as needed.

· Proactively communicate with stakeholders regarding project successes and challenges.

· Desired: ability to identify trends within our community partners' projects and suggest improvements.

· Desired: ability to offer solutions for improving systems over time.

· Desired: ability to help partners understand how to increase their project submissions.

Qualifications

· Previous experience in outreach roles preferred.

· Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

· Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.

· Self-motivated and able to work independently.

· Passion for promoting energy efficiency and community engagement.

· Thrives in working remotely but likes to travel for in-person engagement.

· Must have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and be comfortable with extensive driving.

· High School Diploma, but College Degree preferred.
