An established neurosurgery group in Rancho Mirage, CA is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. Work alongside a team of board-certified surgeons and APPs. Candidates with previous surgical experience as well as recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Full-time, permanent position - neurosurgery, brain & spine
- Mix of hospital and clinic responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
Qualifications:
- California State License
- 1-2 years of surgical experience
- Neurosurgery and/or surgical clinical rotation
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
