Job Description:
As a Personal Injury Paralegal at The Ledger Law Firm, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys by managing case files, conducting legal research, and ensuring that our clients receive the best possible representation. You will be responsible for various tasks that require attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case management from inception through resolution.
- Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and subpoenas.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, medical providers, and experts to obtain necessary documentation and evidence.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
- Prepare and organize trial exhibits and assist attorneys during trial preparations.
- Manage deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
- Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on personal injury law.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and case management.
- Proficient in legal research and legal document drafting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
