Job summary:

This position will coordinate outreach activities for PHCC of California association, the GSA Training Facility, PHCC of CA Educational Foundation, as well as support the Chief Executive Officer.

Outreach activities include:

· Execute membership recruitment, retention and engagement plans for PHCC of CA companies and in support of local chapters.

· Manage membership records, coordinate with accounting and maintain the membership database;

· Manage the website, social media and brand management for PHCC and its subsidiary companies including development and production of printed and electronic materials;

· Develop and implement a plan for member recruitment, new member onboarding, retention, touch points, exit surveys and staff the Membership and Marketing Committee;

· Interact with members/contractors and produce materials to communicate benefits, networking and educational opportunities, and industry-related issues and calls to action;

· Develop, promote, coordinate and execute events such as Legislative Day, member webinars, open houses, golf tournaments;

· Staff tradeshows and events, including coordination with and participation in affiliated organizations’ events around the state.

Education activities include:

· Process enrollments, student/contractor support, program promotion, including creating newsletter articles and social media posts for online and pre-apprenticeship programs such as eLearning and Fast Track

· Promote giving campaign and sustaining donor programs, including information on website, outreach to members/contractors, newsletter articles, fund raisers/fundraising

· Make presentations to high- and middle-schools/classes, coordinate with teachers/superintendents/CTE Coordinators community outreach and recruitment for workforce development programs

· Managing the governance activities, including committee and Board meetings.

Essential Functions:

· Possess strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities.

· Ability to work independently as a team player, self-motivated, with strong leadership skills.

· Ability to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities.

· Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.

· Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

· Positive go-getter attitude and willing to pitch in wherever needed.

· Ability to take initiative, learn new skills and take ownership of special tasks quickly and with minimal guidance.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

· Association management experience preferred, including managing membership and coordinating committees.

· Strong computer and organizational skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.

· Website platforms such as Wix and Social Media tools such as HootSuite, CANVA, Magai, and others.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Must use own vehicle for business-related travel, reimbursed at IRS rates. CA Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance required

· College degree or High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of experience in related fields.

Physical Demands:

Bending, reaching, lifting various materials (up to 20 lbs.), and sitting for long periods of time, using office equipment and computers. Making presentations to small and large groups. Intense concentration is required and sometimes with multiple distractions in the immediate area. The position does require travel and driving a personal vehicle.
