COMMUNITY SERVICE SPECIALIST

Community Service Specialist is the liaison between local agencies and the community.  This position offers the opportunity to innovate and solve challenges, making a real difference in our community. 

Job Summary:

  • Assist in the implementation, coordination, and continuous review of various community service programs under general supervision.
  • Act as a liaison between local agencies and the program, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Interpret and explain program guidelines, policies, and procedures to operating agencies.
  • Conduct periodic visits to external agencies and department programs, preparing reports on service quality and program management.
  • Address and respond to correspondence from operating agencies, coordinating responses and follow-up actions.
  • Participate in identifying and resolving operational problems, promoting program innovation, and assisting in making necessary adjustments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Two (2)  years of social service or related experience
Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License
Knowledge of community service programs
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred

Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
$20.00/Hr
