Job Overview: CommonHealth Recovery is currently seeking a highly qualified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team and oversee patient care within our Medication-Assisted Treatment program. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in counseling individuals with substance use disorders, with a preference for those who have demonstrated leadership skills through supervising associate-level clinicians and Targeted Case Managers.

The work environment balances fast-paced and slower-paced tasks, ensuring a stimulating and engaging atmosphere. Respect among all providers is mandatory, and management focuses on empowering each team member to perform their best.

Qualifications:
  • CSW, LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, CADC, LCADC, or equivalent licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with clients with substance use disorders (SUD) preferred.
  • Previous management/supervision experience of associate-level clinicians and Targeted Case Managers preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and valid drivers license.
  • *Salary will be commensurate with experience and supervision certifications.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Conduct individual counseling sessions and document as required.
  • Lead group and/or family sessions as scheduled.
  • Prepare individual treatment plans for assigned patients.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents.
  • Provide crisis intervention and aftercare planning as needed.
  • Evaluate patient needs and make referrals to other programs or facilities as necessary.
  • Meet supervision requirements for assigned associate clinicians and Targeted Case Managers according to Kentucky State Regulations.
  • Serve as billing supervisor for assigned clinicians at the clinic.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
  • Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM - 5:30PM (10-hour shifts), 38-45 hours/week.
  • Occasional evening group counseling sessions and fill-in duties may be required.
Employment Type: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
