Alabama based site development General Contractor has an immediate need for an experienced Project Manager with commercial construction (building construction) project experience. (We have found commercial construction PM’s perform very well managing site development projects.) Typical projects are green field land clearing and site preparation for large commercial and industrial sites such as data centers, office complexes, hospitals, warehouses, and distribution centers. Assignments are site based so extended travel should be expected. Some projects may be up to a year in duration. All projects will be within 200 miles of Auburn. Per diem and travel expenses will be paid when working outside the immediate Auburn area.
Reasonable relocation expenses will be paid if you do not currently live in the Auburn, AL area.
The Project Manager will: .
· Be responsible for on-site management of large site development projects, (land clearing, earthwork, underground utilities, etc..)
· Work with the estimating department during the preconstruction process to provide insight on schedule and construction methods.
· Be the direct contact for the project owner and their consultants.
· Responsible for managing all business aspects of the project as well as providing direction to the field Supervision.
Requirements:
· At least 5 years’ experience working for a General Contractor on commercial construction projects, vertical construction. A mix of site development and vertical construction is a plus, but civil experience is not required.
· At least the last 2 years must have been as the lead PM on commercial or site development projects.
· A 4-year construction related degree is preferred, but not required.
· You must either currently live in the Auburn, AL area or be willing to relocate here.
Compensation:
· $90K - $125K depending on experience, plus company vehicle, and an excellent benefit package including healthcare. Reasonable relocation expenses will be paid. Per diem and travel expenses will be paid when working outside the Auburn area.
