Weld/Robotics Specialist

Education / Work Experience
2nd and 3rd shift positions.
Background / Skills
Automotive background, with preference towards high volume assembly operations. Experience with Japanese transplants will be highly beneficial.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects on a simultaneous basis.
Strong troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and time management skills will be essential in this position. Ability to interface at multiple levels and operate within cross-functional teams is critical. Must be able to maintain project records and documentation.
Computer skills (Microsoft Office) are highly preferred.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods is desirable but not essential.
Experienced in designing poka-yokes (counter measures) and simple equipment modifications. Ability to reverse engineer product as required.
Ideal candidate will have a background in automated welding, Fanuc Robots engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing.
Special Training / Certificates
Preferred: Welding, automation and robotics (Problem Solving Decision Making)
Suggested: Project Management, Ergonomics, SPC, Robot Training, PLC Basic PLC Intermediate
