The Accounting Services Manager is responsible for planning and managing engagement teams to successfully ensure client accounting projects are completed on schedule, within scope/budget and within the firm's quality standards.  


Responsibilities


  • Manage the engagement and workflow of all client deliverables for multiple clients and engagements
  • Supervise team of accountants and disperse work based on capacity and skill sets
  • Lead the onboarding of new clients and new client engagements
  • Identify, research and resolve accounting technical issues impacting the engagement
  • Assist with preparing and delivering proposals and fee estimates
  • Manage and develop staff by providing training and constructive performance feedback
  • Perform some accounting and closing of client books outside of review duties
  • Review relevant work papers and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and/or review work papers and financial statements
  • Review all compiled financial statements and corresponding workpapers assuring adherence to GAAP or income tax basis principles
  • Assist clients on projects

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
  • Multiple industry audit and accounting experience preferred (ie. government, commercial, manufacturing, non-profit, construction, real estate, etc.).
  • CPA certificate (active preferred)
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Strong supervisory and people skills and ability to successfully interact with staff and client's top executives
  • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, detail orientation and organizational skills are a must
  • Must reside in the greater Twin Cities area (after an initial training period, a hybrid schedule is an option)
