Position Summary:
Entry level position in support of gage calibration requirements. Tests and calibrates electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards. Responsible to learn how to effectively use all basic precision measuring hand tools including indicators, micrometers, thread wires, height masters, and comparators in the performance of these duties. Performance of other tasks relating to gage calibration and control may be required as necessary.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
*Plans sequence of testing and calibration procedures for instruments and equipment.
*Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
*Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects.
*Measures parts for conformity with specifications.
*Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry.
*Reassembles and calibrates instruments and equipment.
*Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.
*Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
* Must be able to problem solve with little or no assistance.
* A good understanding or Microsoft Word and Excel as well as extensive experience using either the Gagetrak calibration software or similar.
*A superior knowledge of GD&T is required for this position as well as an above average mathematical aptitude relating to the decimal system, Metric/English conversion, and geometry.

Secondary Responsibilities:
*Must be able to lead others regarding specific projects or assignments given as well as train others as needed. Participate in 5S Workplace activities, maintaining the area in good working order through sustainment activities.
*A good knowledge of GD&T is required for this position as well as an above average mathematical aptitude relating to the decimal system, Metric/English conversion, and
geometry.

Education and/or Experience:
*Minimum High School Grad and 5 years of experience in related field.
*A good understanding or Microsoft Word and Excel as well as extensive experience using either the Gagetrak calibration software or similar.

Working Conditions:
*Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
*Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
