Responsibilities:

• Ability to operate the department at a profit according to dealership guidelines
• Achieve volume, gross, and inventory turn goals
• Hire, train, supervise, and motivate sales staff
• Responsible for all vehicle sales at the dealership
• Assist in the financing and collection process
• Manage, order/acquire, and appraise new vehicle inventory
• Maintain internal control over used vehicle inventory, appraising, wholesaling, and reconditioning
• Monitor customer demand for used vehicles and maintaining inventory that mirrors this demand
• Monitor the active disposition of wholesale units
• Manage the monitoring and response to all Internet leads from all sources
• Control selling expenses and maximize department profit
• Focus on customer satisfaction to generate repeat customers
• Provide professional and tactful resolutions of customer concerns
• Maintain Customer Service Index (CSI)
• Remain up-to-date on products, market trends and certification
• Establish communication and maintain a good working relationship with other departments
• Responsible for maintaining a positive, clean and well-merchandised work environment, including showroom and lot display, merchandising, dress-code, and ensuring all customer areas are kept well maintained
• Comply with federal, state and local regulations

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years Car Sales Experience &/or F&I Experience
• Be able to act, dress, and communicate in a professional manner
• Have an organizes and well-developed managerial style
• High ethical standards - honesty, integrity, compassion, punctuality
• Strong motivational and leadership skills
• Ability to pass a background check
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
