Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Data Scientist - Exploitation Specialist to join the Team

Supporting National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) providing Geospatial Intelligence for our nation’s security by ensuring customer success through assured access to GEOINT data, capabilities, and insights. This will include design and application of methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data to build and enhance products, processes, and systems.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Work across the office enhance workflows in addition to create efficiencies that result in greater productivity.
  • Lead projects using advanced mathematical, statistical, and scientific techniques and principles to examine complex missions and operational problems and create insights from data.
  • Support data analytics, data cleansing, analyst workflow efficiencies, and transformation supporting Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) capabilities.
  • Apply statistical and analytic methods to support answering intelligence questions and mission requirements.
  • Build lightweight analytic tools to visualize analytic outputs for intelligence consumers.
  • Design methods and mechanisms to track, report, and monitor a set of mission specific objects to the main custody of those objects for various orders of battle.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate advanced application of their knowledge and skills in their fields in the following areas: Data Scientist, Analytic Methodologist, AAA Specialist, Programmer, Data Manager, Cataloguer, Data Modeler, Analytic Modeler, Geomatics Specialist, Remote Sensing Scientist, GEOINT Scientist; leadership, integration, defining tasks, and validating information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field: Data Scientist, Analytic Methodologist, AAA Specialist, Programmer, Data Manager, Cataloguer, Data Modeler, Analytic Modeler, Geomatics Specialist, Remote Sensing Scientist, GEOINT Scientist
  • Minimum 10 years in related field: Data Scientist, Analytic Methodologist, AAA Specialist, Programmer, Data Manager, Cataloguer, Data Modeler, Analytic Modeler, Geomatics Specialist, Remote Sensing Scientist, GEOINT Scientist
  • Demonstrate their capabilities of meeting all services required without direction.
