Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionSlabe Machine Products has been around for 84 years and we are rapidly growing We are looking to add a CNC Programmer, trainer, setup, and operator who will be responsible for reading and interpreting design blueprints, programming Multi-Axis - Turn Mill machines, and setting up, and adjusting the settings of the machine.
Key Responsibilities
  • Programming 3, 4 & 5-axis CNC Lathes (live tooling).
  • Fixture and tool design.
  • Develop work instructions, tool lists, operation sheets, and “shop floor” inspection methodology.
  • Machine set-up and operation of complex prototype and production parts.
  • Training employees on set-ups.


Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • 5 years min experience CNC programming.
  • 5 years min experience using the latest revision of Cad Cam programming software (Mastercam).
  • 5 years min experience CNC machining for complex parts.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills & thorough understanding of GD&T.
  • Experienced with metrology tools % processes for part inspection.
  • Experience G code programming at the machine control.
  • Good communication skills, math skills, and attention to detail.
  • Tool Maker experiences are a definite plus.
  • Honest with good integrity.
  • Professional demeanor and respect for people in all situations.
  • Flexible and willing to help others as needs and tasks change often.
  • Works in an office and machine shop environment.
  • May on a continuous basis walk, bend, and lift 40lbs.
  • Programming CNC: 5 years (Required)
  • Blueprint Reading and GD&T: 5 years (Required)
  • Part Maker: 1 year (Preferred)
  • CNC machining of complex parts: 5 years (Required)
  • Metrology tools and processes of part inspection: 5 years (Required)
