Mental Health Residential Advisor

Location: Asheville, NC

Schedule:

  • Part-time Thursday-Saturday

Benefits:

  • PTO/Sick Time accrual from the First Day

  • Free meals on shift

Salary: $17.00 per hour and increases based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Provides relationship-oriented coaching and support to residents and helps them attain their goals
  • Assures the health and safety of resident, responds immediately to concerns and completes check-ins
  • Participates and encourages participation of residents in recreational, social, and cultural activities
  • Facilitates spontaneous social experiences for residents who are not participating in scheduled activities
  • Supports residents with room cleaning and helps out in general with the cleaning of common areas of the building
  • Transports residents to scheduled appointments as needed
  • Is a first responder for on-call services in the evening hours?
  • Responsible for documentation for assigned residents

Qualifications:

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience working with individuals whose lives are impeded by mental illness
  • 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to be on organization’s auto insurance
