Description of Job Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Provide leadership to the team, guiding and working alongside them to achieve project goals.
  • Assist the team with Paginated Reports and address Power BI-related issues.
  • Design comprehensive solution architectures and provide guidance to development teams, especially in handling complex requirements.
  • Actively participate in knowledge enhancement initiatives to stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Responsively address customer concerns and mitigate issues related to product features or deficiencies.
  • Maintain project and object-level security as per project requirements, collaborating with senior administrators, architects, and project teams.
  • Implement change management processes for migrating Power BI projects and objects between QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Collaborate with report domain architects to recommend configuration and process changes for improved reliability, scalability, and supportability.
  • Maintain scripts and documentation related to the Product suite.
  • Ensure data recovery and backup processes are established and maintained effectively.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Substantial experience in Power BI implementation.
  • Proficiency in Power BI development, enhancement, and migration.
  • Hands-on experience as a Power BI developer, including working in the Azure environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating Power BI reports reading data from diverse data sources.
  • Competency with Power BI Desktop, Gateway, Service, and Report Server.
  • Experience in Paginated Reports using Report Builder.
  • Ability to migrate SSRS reports/Tabular reports to Power BI Paginated Reports.
  • Proficiency in Power Query M and experience in building sophisticated DAX queries.
  • Familiarity with relational database structures, principles, and practices.
  • Strong SQL reporting skills with the ability to create SQL views and write SQL queries for custom datasets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in at least 1-2 large-scale enterprise-level Power BI implementations.
  • Experience in establishing a strong Center of Excellence (COE) approach.
  • Integration experience with R, Python would be advantageous.
  • Prior experience in modernizing legacy reports from Excel, Tableau to Power BI is a plus.
  • Certified Power BI developer with migration and upgrade experience.
  • Familiarity with Power BI cluster management and performance tuning.
