What You'll Do:
As the Director of Medical Staff Services, you will:
- Direct Medical Staff Services relative to credentialing, appointment/reappointment, and evaluation of Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Professionals
- Ensure hospital accreditation and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement department policies and procedures
- Serve as recording secretary for Credentials Committee and prepare Credentials report for Executive Committee and Board of Trustees
- Educate and assist Medical Staff officers, committee chairs, and other healthcare professionals in carrying out their responsibilities
- Assist in the orientation program for Medical Staff, officers, Department, and Committee chairpersons
What You'll Need:
- Bachelors Degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical staff setting required
- Current Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) and/or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) with the National Association Medical Staff Services preferred
- Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations
- Acute hospital credentialing experience required
