General Labor – Coater Taping, Power Coating, Sand Blasting
Role and Responsibilities
General Labor for our Grand Island, NE facility will assist in ensuring the product is prepped and ready to be power coated. This position is very fluid and independently directed. We expect work to be completed in an efficient manner to minimize production downtime and on-time deliveries to our customers. On the job training will be required to prepare for daily duties. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Taping and prepping pipe to ensure a solid powder coat.
- Sand blasting pipe to prep prior to powder coating.
- Learning how to powder coat pipe correctly and efficiently.
- Potentially examining and verifying contents of incoming and outgoing shipments with bills of lading, packaging slips, invoices, and other shipping related documents.
- Potentially preparing outgoing shipments by palletizing, shrink wrapping, banding, and weighing products.
- Managing the storage and inventory of shipping materials in an organized fashion within the coaters division.
- Ensuring all duties are carried out in an efficient and safe manner.
- Performing other duties that may be assigned by the Coating Facility Manager, Production Manager and/or the Plant Manager.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and improve to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- High School diploma or GED required. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of diploma or GED.
- Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions from the Coating Facility Manager, Production Manager, and/or the Plant Manager.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to utilizing a tape measure accurately, follow written instructions and document process for customer.
- Ability to work well with others, be organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
Additional Notes
- Satisfactory pre-employment drug testing is required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- After 30 days of employment, employee is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Sick pay and vacation accruals begin after first day of employment.
- Vacation and sick pay accruals can be used, once eligible.
