Cloud Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy that aligns with the goals and objectives of ACL and HHS.
  • Plan and oversee the migration, integration, and management of cloud-based applications and services.

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud services.
  • Oversee the configuration, deployment, and monitoring of cloud resources to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all cloud operations comply with federal security standards, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and HHS-specific requirements.
  • Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and manage a team of cloud engineers, architects, and administrators, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, promoting continuous learning and professional development.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage relationships with cloud service providers, ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including ACL program managers and IT staff, to understand requirements and deliver effective cloud solutions.

Cost Management:

  • Monitor and manage cloud expenditures, ensuring that cloud resources are used efficiently and within budget.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization, implementing best practices for cloud cost management.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the resilience of cloud services.
  • Regularly test and update recovery plans to address new risks and ensure readiness in the event of an outage or disaster.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Implement monitoring tools and processes to track the performance and health of cloud services.
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders on cloud performance, utilization, and any incidents or issues.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and incorporate them into cloud operations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve cloud processes, tools, and practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cloud management, with a focus on cloud platforms and federal government projects, preferably within health and human services.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including architecture, deployment, and management.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure automation tools and practices, such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of federal security standards and regulations, including FISMA, FedRAMP, and HHS-specific security requirements.
  • Experience implementing and managing security controls and compliance measures in a cloud environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust
