Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $17 to $22/hr DOE

Overview:

The Patient Communication Coordinator is responsible for answering heavy multi-line telephone, triaging calls, taking messages, and scheduling appointments. The Patient Communication Coordinator serves as a liaison between caller and medical support staff and clinical departments.


Responsibilities:

  • Answer all incoming calls
  • Transfer calls to appropriate coordinator/department
  • Register patients into EHR system
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Check Voicemail throughout the day and send voicemail notifications
  • Return patient calls in a timely manner
  • Provide coverage to Front Desk as needed
  • Assist with Medical Records Request as needed

Qualifications/Other Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Maintain calm and positive attitude in stressful situations. Have the ability to respond to changing workload and work environment
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Ability to manage multiple phone lines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Previous experience working in a medical office preferred
  • Bilingual fluent in Spanish preferred

Physical Requirements:

  •  Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours a day.
