What you will do:
Payroll Management (40%)
- Oversee semi-monthly full-cycle payroll
- Manage payroll-related databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with applicable laws
- Maintain accurate payroll records, manage payroll deductions, and ensure timely payroll processing
- Prepare payroll/benefit accounting reports and audit work papers, ensuring JSOX compliance
Workforce Planning & Financial Analysis (30%)
- Lead fiscal year headcount and payroll forecasting and budgeting processes
- Collaborate with department heads to capture payroll and headcount projections
- Analyze and report on compensation and benefits costs, updating forecasts as necessary
Benefits Administration (25%)
- Develop competitive benefits packages, balancing cost-effectiveness and quality
- Administer and evaluate company benefits programs, ensuring compliance and competitiveness
- Act as the primary contact for 401(k) and worker’s compensation audits
Compensation (5%)
- Evaluate and recommend salary adjustments and compensation changes
- Support the implementation of the annual review program, ensuring accurate documentation and system entry
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (5-8 years) in Payroll & Benefits or Human Resources
- Proficient in payroll systems, preferably Paylocity
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with accounting systems (SAP, Hyperion, Pillar/Essbase)
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and Word
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor
- CPP and PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
