English Meadows Senior Living is a locally owned company providing excellent care to our wonderful Residents. We are passionate about assisted living and ensure each of our Caregivers looks forward to the day just as much as our Residents in our communities.


We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic Activity Director to carry out the Activity program. The AD is responsible for engaging the Residents in meaningful group and one on one activities to enrich their lives while they are in the Community.


Duties/Responsibilities:

• Has awareness and practices in accordance with state regulations

• Prepares and distributes a monthly activity schedule and calendar

• Plans, develops and coordinates exciting and engaging events for the Residents to

maximize the level of functioning of the Residents

• Maintains appropriate records or Resident participation in activities

• Assists in coordinating activities and programs that are held and sponsored outside of the community

• Plans appropriate activities as it relates to physical, social, cognitive, community, creative and spiritual/emotional needs

• Assists with Resident needs including shopping and mailing

• Observes and communicate any changes in Resident's condition

• Knows and follows Emergency procedures, Elopement, and all other procedures

• Must attend and/or complete all assigned training to meet DSS regulations

• Responsible for keeping Resident information confidential; respecting Resident rights; respecting privacy


Job Qualifications

• Must be able to relate appropriately to the public, Residents, families, and team members and other professionals

•Must communicate with the Activity Director and show willingness to help

• Must have an acceptable criminal record check

• Documented TB screening

• Must have or complete CPR/1st Aide within first 60 days of employment

• Must maintain an acceptable attendance record

• Must be able to work flexible hours to meet job requirements

• Must perform tasks with grace; works cooperatively with supervisors and display willingness to assist co-workers

• Looks for ways to improve the community function
