Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our team. The Property Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries for multiple properties.
  • Provided recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to business activities and financial performance.


  • Reconcile bank statements, resident ledgers, and vendor accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with property managers to review and analyze resident ledgers and expenses.
  • Research, resolve, and communicate (internally and externally) any discrepancies on outstanding resident or vendor accounts.

Collaborate with all departments, including those outside the accounting team, to support overall company goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Yardi preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
