The Referral Coordinator works as part of the care team to coordinate patient referrals to specialists, diagnostic facilities, and other healthcare providers. Ensure complete and accurate patient demographic and current insurance information. Track and follow up on all referrals to ensure timely appointments and completion of required services. Obtain necessary pre-authorizations and referrals from insurance companies.The individual has excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal). Works with and has access to confidential patient information. Employee should maintain a professional image and manner in dealing with patients, families, visitors, and clinic personnel.

High school diploma or GED
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, particularly in referral coordination, is preferred.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare software systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
This is a Safety Sensitive position (the use of a Medical Marijuana card is prohibited according to Act 593).
